A 14-year-old boy has been charged with a string of offences after a police car was allegedly rammed north of Brisbane last week.

It will be alleged officers spotted a stolen white Subaru wagon at an address on Bailey Road in the Moreton Bay suburb of Deception Bay about 7.15pm on Friday.

It will also be alleged the driver of the car reversed into the police car, causing extensive damage.

Police said officers managed to deploy spike strips, which punctured all four of the Subaru’s tyres, before the allegedly stolen car fled the scene and was later found abandoned.

The boy has been charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, unlawful use of a motor vehicle, burglary, stealing, possessing a weapon and wilful damage.
