Coronavirus QLD: State’s case total jumps by 60 to 319

Queensland has recorded its highest increase of coronavirus cases in a 24-hour period, with 60 new cases confirmed overnight. One person has been placed in the intensive case, the first since the outbreak began in Queensland. Chief Health Officer of Queensland, Dr Jeanette Young, confirmed the increase to the state’s total number of cases to 319. The State Government will consider whether Queensland should shut its domestic borders, with Cabinet to discuss the issue today. Huge fire guts Ramdev’s natural health centre in Haridwar

A huge fire swept through yoga guru Baba Ramdev’s natural health centre here on Sunday afternoon, reducing it to ashes. A stray spark from an ongoing jungle fire is believed to have led to the blaze in the modern and state-of-the-art centre, built in 2009 at the cost of Rs 70 crore, in the Yog Gram Ashram. Coronavirus cases spike to 396 in India, says ICMR

The death toll due to the novel coronavirus pandemic rose to seven, while the total number of cases soared to 360 as fresh cases were reported from various parts of the country on Sunday, the Union Health Ministry said. Gujarat, Bihar and Maharahstra reported a death each on Sunday, while four deaths were earlier reported from Karnataka, Delhi, Maharashtra and Punjab, the Health Ministry said. Italy registers 59,138 coronavirus cases, 5,476 dead

The coronavirus epidemic continued to spread in locked-down Italy on Sunday with total cumulative number of infected cases reaching 59,138 and deaths reaching 5,476, according to the latest data released by the Civil Protection Department.
