A MAN with three outstanding warrants has been charged with 45 offenses after at least four months on the run.

The 41-year-old man was finally arrested yesterday after police received reports of a stolen Kia Carnival in the Kingscliff area.

Police found the car in Kingscliff Lane, where they also found the man and a 36-year-old woman.

The man fled from police but was arrested a short time later.

The woman was arrested inside the car.

Both were taken to Tweed Heads Police Station.

When police searched the car, they allegedly found a throwing knife, multiple stolen car keys, stolen identification documents, drug items and house breaking implements.

The man was charged with 45 offences relating to break and enter and property offences between June and October 9 this year.

Police also found he had three arrest warrants in Queenslands.

Bail was refused and the 41-year-old will appear at Tweed Heads Local Court today.

The woman was charged with being carried in conveyance driven without consent of the owner. Her court date has not been set.
